At the Creme of the Crop (Interscope BET Awards Afterparty) The Interscope family welcomed their recent signee Keke Palmer to the label. Keke won the 1st BET Youngstar Award this year. Keke’s 1st single off her Interscope Records debut is to be announced real soon. Keke is done recording her album and has recorded over 50+ songs and co-written 40+ songs. IM SOOOO EXCITED! Im happy that they are showing excitement and interest being that her last label (Atlantic Records) showed little interest in her music. She is gonna be HUGE! Once again I have to brag that I have listened to a lot of songs that are going to be on Keke’s album…and the music is AMAZING! I am not just saying that. Get ready to dance. Get ready to experience GOOD MUSIC!

BET AWARDS 2010

This past sunday was the 10th Annual BET Awards. Keke looked amazing in her dress. FORBES LISTS KEKE!

Happy Fathers Day! And Keke’s dad gets a great fathers day present. Besides a homecooked breakfast, Keke gets listed as one of the eleven TOP teen celebrity enterprenuers by FORBES! Other celebrities listed include Justin Bieber, Victioria Justice, Miranda Cosgrove, Miley Cyrus, etc. Read Keke’s description below.

Actor, Musician, Designer
Palmer got her start on the big screen in Barbershop 2 in 2004 and Akeelah and the Bee in 2006 before joining the Disney/Nick machines. In 2007 Disney cast her in a television movie, Jump In!. She also released a 2007 album, So Uncool, with Atlantic Records and toured as halftime entertainment at WNBA games. In 2008 she landed a Nickelodeon series, True Jackson, VP, in which she plays a teenage fashion executive. In July 2009 she launched a True Jackson fashion label for Walmart. She released a single this year on Interscope Records and has an album in the works.

Okay so a lot has been going on behind the scenes of Keke Source and a lot has been going on behind the scenes with Keke! I am super excited because this site is going to get BIGGER over the summer. I am so excited to where this site is going and the opportunities it has given me. I am so excited and anxious to continue to serve all of Keke’s fans across the world Keke news 1st! Let me explain what is going on a little bit.

- A NEW layout is in the works. It shall be launching when Keke’s mixtape is released.
• Speaking of mixtapes. Read Keke’s blog about her mixtape HERE
• Working on a variety of “fanstuff” (siggies, avatars, etc) will be released after new layout
• Finishing up and organizing the lyrics section.
• Also got the chance to listen to 6 songs off Keke’s album. THEY’RE HOT! haha

KEKE’S MIXTAPE!

If you have been following Keke on twitter (@kekeinaction), you’d know that she is recording her mixtape! If you are not familiar with a mixtape it is basically a collection of songs that will be released virally (on the internet) for free. So you can have some new Keke music to put on your iPod! Her mixtape should be dropping sometime this summer, no date as of yet…but Keke Source will keep you in the loop!

Also Keke’s first single is dropping SOON! Keke meets with Interscope (her record label) to pick her first single REALLY SOON! I’ve heard SIX of the potential single choices Saturday…and believe me Keke is gonna have ONE HOT first single as well as an AMAZING ALBUM! The tracks I’ve heard are really good and I cannot wait to see which song they pick for the first single. I can’t give away titles just yet BUT I can say that Keke has worked with some POPULAR producers and songwriters that have written and produced some of your favorite songs. You guys WILL NOT be disappointed. I will keep you guys informed. SUMMER 2010!!! WE’RE READY! Are you?
