This weekend I was flown (is that a word?) out to LA by Keke! I stayed from Friday through Sunday, and even attended Keke’s Sweet 16 Prom! Met lots and lots of cool people…including Keke of course.

Friday, I flew In. Then Me and My dad (Larry, he was ‘trying’ to be young) was picked up at the airport by Keke’s Dad (who’s name is Larry…he and my dad share the same 1st name), and Keke’s little brother Lawrence (me and him share the same first name…cool, right.) My dad and Mr. Palmer held a conversation as while we went to pick up a 12 passenger bus/van (whichever you may call it.) then we headed back to LAX to pick up Hector and his dad (Hector runs the NYC Street Team). After he dropped us off at our hotel (we stayed at the Hollywood Heights Hotel). We did a little sight seeing right before we met up with Jasmine and Chelsea. Cool people!

Around 6:30 we were waiting in this lounge for our Meet and Greet with Keke. One of her friends was already in there. Then her sister Loreal and a few of her cousins came in. We talked for a bit until Keke and her parents…and everyone else entered the room. Keke then greeted us (the street teams) it was my first time meeting her, while everyone else had already met her before. She gave me a hug…I felt accomplished in some sort of way. lmfbo. Then time passes and everyone introduces themselves….then we eat! Jasmine (she’s a cluts) spilled apple juice on my pants. haha. We chatted with Keke for a few minutes during all of this. Fun. Then time passes…everyone eats… we go out to walk around ‘Hollywood’ I guess….it was only like a block away from our hotel. It was strange seeing groups of people whispering “Is That Her?”, “True Jackson??”, “Hey thats Keke Palmer!”. I was a bit reserved during this time…being that I felt awkward (basically the whole weekend) that my dad was asking me questions and stuff like that. oh well.

Saturday Night, everyone gets all dressed up for the party! Usually I HATE wearing suits. IDK I just feel too churchy and uncomfortable, but hey! the dress code was formal attire (although everyone DID NOT. haha). Everyone walked in the penthouse and from a distance I see Keke at the end of the room doing an interview with someone. It wasn’t long after until she rushes up the stairs with people following her. What immediately caught my eye was the trendy cool decorations. A blue ‘carpet’, T-Mobile had a photobooth (which I looked overly dark in every picture.), couches and pillows that read ‘KEKE’, artwork and everything. It was amazing!

Shortly after we arrived, everyone started to make their entrance. I immediatley saw a few familiar faces. Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Victoria Justice, Josh Hutcherson, Ashley Argota, Matt Shively, Jennette McCurdy, Miranda Cosgrove, Jill Marie Jones, and much more celebrities. I didn’t want to be the person who was the overly excited fan (believe me I wasn’t) so I just walked up to a few of them, held a conversation for a good while. Keke made her entrance not too long after the party started. Her dad requested a dance with her and her sister Loreal. I thought It was sweet. I really enjoyed it. She changed her dress after that. Ashley Argota was there with Trevor (who plays Mikey J in True Jackson) they were really nice. I also met Dan Kopelman (who is the show’s producer and he plays the always silent…and hungry Kopelman on the show.), Ron Butler (he plays Oscar), caught a few glimpses at Danielle Bisutti, and Matt. The performers of the night included Strikers Allstars, Lil Mama, Elijah Kelley, and Day26. The party was fun, and near the end it was announced to Keke that she received a new car!

Sunday morning was my last day in LA. Everyone (me, hector, jasmine, and chelsea) gathered in the lobby to wait for the Palmers to come and take us to the airport. I was tired and forced myself to stay awake. I kept telling everyone I wasn’t tired though. lol. On our way to the airport we got to listen to about 7 new tracks that Keke recorded for her sophomore album. The tracks included my favorite “Get Out My Head” and “Edit” as well as some new ones “Hologram”, “Heartless (i think thats what Its called)“, “Facebook Stalker”, “Sittin On Top Of The World”, and another one which I didn’t catch the name of. I tell you I am extremely excited for this record! From what I heard it is amazing!

After we dropped Hector and Chelsea off at the airport the Palmers took Jasmine and her grandmom, and myself and my dad out to Denny’s for breakfast (it was lunch for me). Had a great conversation. Then it was time to go home. I had a blast! I can’t wait to see everyone again!
